D-Day -1

8/4/12 – Being prayed over by our family in Christ from Calvary Chapel Downey.

So much going through my head this last week here in the U.S. before we head out into our new mission field. Mainly just in awe of the Lord and what He’s done these past 5 years. This month marks five years of walking with Jesus and I look back and can only see His grace and love. I see my failures, the trials, but His grace and love overcome them all. I know that He has a plan for me and my family.  I look forward to the blessings that He has for us as we take this step of faith in obedience to His calling. What an honor and privilege it is to serve our Lord and Savior.  Father, help us to serve like your Son Jesus, with a servant’s heart of mercy and with a heart to glorify God in everything that we do. In the mighty name of Jesus!

Thankful for my Pastor Jeff for his dedication to sound doctrine and for the time under his teaching. Thankful for the brothers and sisters of Calvary Chapel of Downey for the fellowship and support. Thankful for my in-laws, for their amazing hospitality, making this possible for us. Thankful for Calvary Chapel of Merida for allowing us this opportunity to come alongside to serve the Mexican and Mayan people of the Yucatan. Especially thankful for our Care Team and supporters… what a blessing and encouragement they’ve been to me and my family.

It’s hard to say goodbye, but it’s even harder not to go. Use us Lord, for your glory!
